Mrs. Jessica Thomley » Welcome!

I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about the role of a school psychologist here at Lincoln! I'm Jess Thomley, and work with students at Lincoln Elementary and Lincoln Jr./Sr. High. I am originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Northern Michigan University, and attended graduate school for school psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I previously worked in the School District of Black River Falls before joining staff here at Lincoln, the best place to learn!
My position here at Lincoln entails making sure all students have what they need in order to learn their best. I work with staff to help develop and implement building-wide and district-wide systems for both academics and behavior. I also complete evaluations for special education and section 504 plans. In addition, I am the district 504 coordinator. I consult with staff to problem solve academic or behavioral problems, and can meet with students who need check-ins, short-term counseling, or are in a crisis situation. However, my role has limitations from what an outside licensed counselor or therapist can provide.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your student's educational needs, please feel free to contact me so we can problem solve together!
